So I was at Keystone yesterday, and I saw one of those barrel-like things that cover the snow making equipment on the side of the run and it was begging to be jibbed. So I ski to it, hop over it, and tap the back of my skis on the top of it. Then as i'm riding off satisfied with such a simple yet very fun jib, a ski patrol boarder yells at me and pulls me over. He tells me that jibbing outside of the terrain park is dangerous and that the plastic cover for the snow making equipment is fragile and cannot withstand such beating. Of course I find this whole situation hilarious and talk back with sarcasm. He asks me what the stuff in the terrain park is made of. I reply, "snow". He says no, they are made of metal and plexiglass so they don't break. He asks to see my pass. I ask him why. He says he wants to see it. So i pull out my pass and show it to him then I put it away. Then he tells me to give it to him. At this point I am worried he will take it from me so I say no. He tells me hes not going to confiscate my pass so I end up giving it to him. He then tells me that he could charge me criminally for destruction of property but he says he wasn't going to because he didn't want to call the sheriff. I tell him that that is the biggest bullshit i've ever heard. So now I have to take a safety class at keystone before I can use my pass to ski again.
