I haven't been this impressed since the Wallisch vid.

There's a pretty big difference between "I don't like how Gus' mutes are loose" and "Fuck robot skiers. Me and my friends are so much sicker you idiots".

People are hating on Mikee cause he claimed it and didn't back it up (and does in every thread), not because we don't think he can have his own preferences on style.

whats wrong with his style? that truckdriver 450 out was really sick looking and pretty creative. yeah heis no t.heed, but hes got good style. his mutes look good too. i guess its a somewhat spin to win vid, but it no robotron shit. he mixes it up with spins in both directions and spinning in and out of rails. he even has 360 switch ups both ways. robotron skiing is doing what everyonne else is doing. I'd argue that he is definently skiing above and beyond most kids.

I said there were like 3 tricks in the video I liked...

one of those is the truckdriver 450. I thought it was really fun and cool, and I don't usually like truckdrivers. And the way you came around was really sick and stuff...

but I wouldn't say that hes doing much that is "different" or special. Sure he is doing really "tech"... boring tricks... Like sure I guess its cool to do both 360 switch ups... but not really, cause Ive seen like 50000000 of them and they are just like... ok! Like if theres eomthing sick about it then sure thats cool, Im not saying dont do 360 switch ups... im just saying that the "future of skiing" should be about more than doing a bunch of crazy spins.

I hope Gus's next video is him doing some really tech switch spin with a mute and then landing on you so you could shut the hell up. We understood after the first reply you don't like his skiing, but the last 25 posts have been unnecessary and have made you look like a total fucking idiot.

you say that you would rather see a straight slide than a 360 switch up right? and you claim that you've seen a whole bunch of 360 switch ups. maybe im an idiot, but i think straIght slides are a bit more common. and to the majority of the people on this site, they would pick 360 switch ups both ways over straight slides both ways.  takes more skill.  either way, you've said your argument about you not liking his style, so stop hating on it and accept that he does it.

to the average skier:

a straight slide is just a straight slide. 150 points in sammy carlsons pro skier. no point multiplier because the only thing taken into account was the degree of rotation and grind.

to mikee:

there are a lot of things that play a huge role into simple things like straight slides that people don't realize. first of all, the average skier will strattle the rail with their legs on either side of it and do a two footed jump on to maintain perfect center of gravity for their megaburst super hop switchups.

there are a lot of options to make it flow more and add your own flavour to it, including a proper ollie or nollie from the side, carving onto it, body positions, etc...the average skier doesn't put those things into account because they don't seem important. it's more about what trick you throw like said above instead of keeping "simple" things fresh and tech.

either way, it doesn't actually matter what you believe in as far as tricks go. if you think of skiing like it's a tony hawk game and shoot for the high score that is fine. i'm sure ken gus's score would be !over9000! at a competition because he skis like a xxx-mega-gundam nasatron warrior and he's obviously quite talented at throwing stock rail tricks like you'd see them in a "SLOPESTYLE FOR KIDZ" book. i'm not insulting him, but that's how he skis, you can't say he's the next picasso of skiing.

so please folks...realize where mikee is coming from. he's talking about style here, personality, the artistic form of skiing, and there is slim to none (personality factor) in gus's skiing which is what he's pointing out.

what it all comes down to:
the tricks that look the hardest (DOES NOT EQUAL SIGN) the tricks that are the hardest. judges take notes!

wow i can't believe i just wasted an hour of my life reading this thread, I was talking with my friends the other day about the way newschoolers is going and this just proves that someone always has to talk shit on this site, so dumb.

You guys may talk shit on mikee but isnt it cool when someone has a different opinion? Wouldnt you guys find skiing really boring if we all skied the same? I know I would. 
Its funny because this can translate into the whole Superunknown debate. Obviously Martini was the most technically well rounded skier, but Brogan won because he presented something fresh to the Level 1 crew.
