I just got my Scratches, there are brand new, never skied. Do I need to wax them or anything, or can i just go skiing right away?

wax em about 10 times before you go ski on them.
I'm not kidding either, seriously wax them 10 times.

Skis get faster if you wax them a bunch of times when they're new, but if you don't even know if you should wax them at all, you won't notice the difference between 1 wax and 10 waxes.

But yes, wax them 1 time before you ski them. Wax makes skis turn smoother and protects the bases from dirty snow, etc.

Unwaxed skis tend to be grabby and don't turn well.
