i talked to a few kids that compete somewhat seriously in it (as in go to the different stops) and they love it. you just gotta like free skiing. i got to watch some of the comp. at snowbird and the video of it online and i think itd be a great way of pushing yourself. if you like comps then do it. you got nothing to lose and you're put into different areas all of which have an easy way or hard way down.

Does anyone know if you have to be 18? Its a direction in skiing I really, really want to see myself going but I have heard you have to be 18. Ill definitely be doing it this next season otherwise after thats all I skied this season and big mountain is the best. We just need to bring spinning into this contest more.

ya you have to be 18. i was 17 over the 2006/2007 winter and tried gettin a spot in snowbird and they wouldnt let me. then this season i just missed the day the spots went on sale and couldnt find a way in. i heard that the bird sold out in like 2 1/2 hours or something like that this year? check out usfreeskiing.com for some stuff, and i know that some events, maybe all of them are ran by a company called MSI or something? they have links to it on usfreeskiings site.
All times are Eastern (-5)
