You know 8 to 10 million people play WoW? Meaning they paid around $80 for both games and have been paying $15 a month for service. They must be doing something right.
I beg to differ...I played for a while and got way too into it. I would put off hanging out with my friends, stay up all night to quest, and wake up before school to play. I've been sober now for 7 months = ]
Spirestone
Troll Shaman
Night elf Shadow Priest
Ayana.
I only ever ended up getting up to level 40...still think I could have sold it? Maybe I still can. Ah I always felt so awkward when I'd walk into a store with my best friend who played with me. We'd be talking about the recent quest or something and there would always be somebody from WOW who would start talking to us
See I played WOW too. but if you take it to that degree it sucks. I had early release in high school when I played, so for the 2 hours I would wait until everyone else got out of school, I would play wow. It didnt really affect my social life. and during the summer you have too much free time anyways.
it was fun when I played cause 5 of my friends played too.
That episode was funny, but did nothing to change my opinion of wow. I played for about a year and quit and it was fun, but yeah it started to effect my grades and social life. It's only fun if you have a few friends you can play with.
been trying to quit the game, just cancelled my account a few days ago. now im trying to find someone to buy thw account. ive got 3 70s one being an epicced out PVE fire mage(SSC/TK ready have killed a few bosses in each), a tankadin and some crap shaman if anyone is interested on buying or trading here on NS (hint hint). but yeah the stupid game took away my social life for a bit, and i realized that so i decided to quit. instead of raiding some stupid bosses tonight im gonna go get wasted with some friends at a campout. fuck yeah
Yep. I had a shadow priest in Hyjal and Black Temple gear if anyone knows what that means on this site. I didn't even play all that much, way more than alot of people. Just had a good group of people to work with. Sold my character for $750 and bought ski shit, can't bash that.
damn i always wanted to get into MH and BT. i thought i played a lot and only managed to get into SSC/TK. i think my problem was when i got bored with one character i would level another to 70 and start raiding, only to realize that i didnt like tanking or healing and then went back to my mage and had to find a new guild and start all over again. but yeah where di you sell your account? im trying to find a place where i can advertise it and ity doesnt look like anyone sells them on ebay. im hoping to get at least $250 for my account bc its got 3 70s, one full epic fire mage, a blue/epic kara ready tankadin and some crap 70 which was my first 70.
Transfer the 70's off to different accounts and sell them individually, you'll make way more.
I used to play WoW. I stopped playing a while ago and now I just sell accounts. Hahahah, I'm hoping I can get sell enough by the end of the summer that I'll be able to ski all next winter without getting a job at college. It's pretty easy money actually.
i use to play shit like that. i played runescape such a waste of my time i was addicted when i was like 11. i got to be so good at it too hahaha. so addictingggggggg.
Yeah, I think they instance grinded the whole thing, super planned out and whatnot.
I don't actually play though, that's the beauty of it. I just bot the characters, it takes about zero input from me, I just run two copies of WoW with glider on my old laptop. I've got two druids leveling at the moment back at home while I'm sitting here at work pretending I'm scanning something. Hahaha, it's a pretty sweet deal.
But to answer your question it takes around three weeks to glide up to 70.
I just started over on this new super quiet server to try and get reported less.
I cruise down to Walmart every once in a while and pick up a couple $30 dollar battlechests when they're on sale. I could start a fucking bonfire with all the leftover strategy guides I have from those things
Wow I really didn't expect this thread to be this positive.
Dinged on my mage a month ago. Half way through SSC/TK currently and progressing fast.
WoW doesn't really affect your social life as long as you stay casual. Raiding in the evening on weekdays isn't really a big thing. Most guilds don't have raids on weekends anyways.
Ya my friends guild (guild I was going to transfer to, but I quit) raided like Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from like 8:30 to midnight with a 30 min break halfway through. And they killed Illidan in BT...so you don't have to play alot to be successful.
there are "private" servers, that you can play on for free. and yes it is illegal.
the reason you DON'T play on these servers (aside from the obvious possible lawsuit / fine / etc), is the servers are un-moderated. that coupled with tons of websites offering wow hacks makes for a very imbalanced game system (for instance, once of the hacks makes your character's stats go through the roof, pretty much making you invincible).
yes, i play wow, not as much as i used to but i still play a couple nights a week if i have time. no it does not consume my social life.
yeah, its beat when it gets into your social life. and both my brothers and i played on the same server, and we would freak the fuck out at each other for playing time. my best friend meg almost lost her boyfriend (my brother) becuase of it, and blah. quit while your ahead
yeah i have a couple friends who are waaayyy too into WoW. its sad, cause they're super fun to hang out with, but now its like, the only time i get to "hang out" with them is if I play wow, which i don't too much of anymore.
you can play for free on private servers. my roommate got sucked into it a few months ago, and he recently discovered private servers. i tried the real game for the free 10 day trial. i can see how it would be addicting, but i lost interest fast.
I've played on and off for 2 years now (well I haven't played since last summer). It's hard to get into if your on a shitty server and don't have real friends to play with (which was my case). I've never gotten a character over 55 though. I think I may start up again casually over the summer since I'll have lots of free time.
What the fuck are you talking about? I play WoW, and I am hanging out with friends almost every night, and generally it's always a different group of people.
A GIRL THAT PLAYED WoW !!!!!!! I never thought that possible. It means some nerds bragging about meeting hot chicks on that site is an actual possibility (a slim one but still)
as for my WoW experience, I downloaded the free 10 day trial off the site . I seriously became addicted in less than 4 days . It was rediculous. I didnt pay for it afterwards, I didnt want to be caught in that time hole. I seriously noticed an addiction after 4 days , something is wrong with that game
i really cant see what all the fuss is about. its just a simple rpg. its good and all but i would much prefer oblivion or fable oin xbox. im just not a huge fan of paying $15/month for a game
