Salt Lake Community College VS. Colorado Mountain College

I'm pretty much trying to decide which one to go to.
I'm currently at a private liberal arts college in ohio.

I want to major in business administration/management, finace or accounting, something along those lines. Get my associates degree then transfer to some other college to get my bachelors degree. If anyone can give me any information on the quality of academics (yes, i know they are community colleges). Maybe how your friends like it, or if you go the the university of utah, what you've heard about SLCC.

If I was to go to CMC I plan on going to the Summit Breckenridge Campus, where id prob be living in an apartment. I'm pretty sure that at both colleges i will have to live in an apartment. Correct me if i'm wrong. (Does anyone know approximatly how much a month it would be in SLC or summit county, including utilities?)

I'm just asking for a little help on what others think about them and how they like it.

Most importantly the college life at each one....i would imagine SLCC would be more fun since its in SLC and near U of U, yes????

Also how easy it is to transfer out.

bottom line: I'm trying to get a job, get a good education while being cheap and ski.

CMC is completely pointless. Just take online classes through your local cc for $20 a unit and you can do it any time of day. I have heard people have had trouble transferring their units from there too.

well i know that cost of living/rent in SLC is going to be quite a bit lower than in summit co.

i will be going to community college, not because  i couldn't get into a 4 year university(i  could get into just about any state school )  (claim i know:)    but i can afford to pay cash for my first two years of community college with out my parents chipping in one dime...

then i hope to transfer to the U of U in two years..

i went to rutgers for a semester than got all whacked out so im on cruise control at SLCC until i either go to the u or back to rutgers.... than maybe nyu if i can get in and dont make the rents broke.

I go to Pasco-Hernando Community College in Brooksville, Florida which is about 45 minutes north of Tampa. My parents don't want to pay for out-of-state tuition in Colorado.

yeah that bumps it up quite a bit,  have you ever thought about moving to SLC or CO and living there for X  number of months.    then you would qualify for in state tuition..
 
haha not to sound  online creepy stalkerish , but i thought you lived in Boulder, CO..  
haha i remember from one thread you and i destroyed about  boulder being the smartest city in america..

Yeah, I'm living in Boulder right now, but I'm continuing my education from my college back home. I have to go back on the 1st anyway because my mom is doing chemo and I have to take care of the farm. Hopefully if I don't fail any classes this semester I can get my Associate's by August and get my ass back out here and chill for a year. That's the plan.

were you living in boulder and taking online classes? or did you take the winter off.    if you did take the winter off, how has that worked out?  i am thinking about doing that my sphmore year, and then taking a few summer classes.

again, best of luck to your mom, i know that doesnt seem like much coming from someone on NS but i really do mean it...........

Yeah, I took online classes while living here. There are generally four semesters at my college. Fall, Spring, then the first half of Summer and then the second half. I haven't taken a break from college since August 2006, not even for Summer.
