Ive had the worst shinbang for soooo long, it would get to the point where id leave the hill early cuz it hurt so bad. Got new dalbello boots this year and i was still getting it. Put booster straps on em, havent had shinbang since
yea they are worth it plus the man that designed them is wicked cool. He came up to me the other day when putting on my boots at the loaf and told me his name was Ray. Anyway...
those things are sick cuz they don't loosen as you ride so you don't have to bend down and tighten them at all. i don't get shinbang too bad but i use them anyway cuz they really make a difference for me. they're worth the dough and they last a long time
Ummm there's more to booster straps than shin bang. Although they are most beneficial for reducing shin bang, they also increase response, control and provide a smoother rebound. Piratically every world cup rider uses them and it isn't for shin bang lol
I just got a pair of booster straps and they don't really help to reduce shin bang. Maybe I'm not using them correctly, but they seem to be made more for racers. They keep the boot closer to your shin for more control, but I find that if I buckle my boot tight and keep the top buckle a little looser (with or with out the booster strap) I have less shin bang. I'd say save the $40 and save up for some nice boots with a padded tongue and a big beefy strap like some Salomon SPKs or new Atomic High Rolla
