they've got enough snow to last through til May... if they close next Monday, avila sucks.

To answer the original question to this thread; Avila's last day was today. That's what the lift loader told me although Sauveur will be open for another week but with +17 weather I don't know for how long.

I heard that its going to be closed this week but then they're going to open it on the weekend. They definitely have enough snow to keep going for a while so it would really suck if they closed it for good now.

avila open or just sauveur?
awesome they are still kicking it. in BC all the local mountains are closed (Grouse, Seymour etc) even though they are STILL getting snow and have HUGE snowpack. but they don't care as anyone who is still riding now is a season's pass holder. no more money to be made.
big up for Avila for keeping it real and supporting the locals.

Could someone give me the down low on how things were today and let me know what set up and what to expect tomorrow? And weather Avila was open or if things moved over to Sauver
Mucho thanks

I was there on Sunday the 20th and yah, still decent. a few bare patches, but enough snow to keep the park going, including the pipe, jumps and features. avila lists the next two weekends as open depending on conditions. i would say this weekend should go for sure. avila is kicking some ass here.
