Jazz funk hip hop jam bands?

i dunno what genre of music this is but i just want some suggestions of instrumental jam bands that play jazz funk hip hop kind of grooves and is just really chill to listen to. the only band i can think of is time lapse consortium to give you an idea of what im kind of looking for.

i dont know if this is what your looking for but maybe check out eightrack mind. http://cdbaby.com/cd/eightrack you should be able to listen to some clips from there. personally i like the songs direct hits, and slow down.

Probably not what you're looking for, but Volto is a really cool jam band. They have a few videos on youtube, but other than that it's really hard to find any of their music.

Anyone remember The Brand New Heavies? they werent really hiphop but they were jazz/funk/jamband. check them out...try to find an album called brother sister. i think this is right on what you are looking for.
