hey. I have been looking for my next year ski, and decided i could use a little bit of help choosing. So far I've narrowed it down to: line invaders or rossi scratch pros. I am open to many suggestions as well. I am strictly a park skier and I ski a little bit of pipe. I am 5 foot 6, 165 pounds. Please leave the size of the ski in your sugestion. Oh... and please give a reason behind why you are suggesting them. Thanks in advance.
The Thrusters are an AWESOME ski other than durability. Pretty dissapointing I must say, seeing as I've ridden Salomon my whole life and the 08 thrusters are the first with durability problems(For me). They seemed awesome until the fifth month of riding where in the course of 2 weeks I had all my underfoot edges ripped out and the back of my ski delammed.
i dont know if u have a certain price range....but this year's (which r the same as next year's) atomic urban punx r the sickest skis ive skied on and i only ski park too...ummm reasons why...well theyre quite light but still really sturdy and also spin really nice for their size( i have them in a 184 but u should probably get the 176s) also they have sick edge reinforcement which is great when ur doing lots of rails and they r really nice and flexy but not the kind of soft thatl just bend on u and be all limp, if u flex them theyle pop u right up (aka butter 3s, 5s etc go really well) and also because of the edge reinforcement theyre still stiffer underfoot so u only have flex in the places u want it. Anyway long story short theyre a SICK ski and i highly recommend them!
Armada ar6 176 or 171 if you like shorter or longer. They are supposed to be symmetrical next year from what i hear, and that is boss-ass. Armada is the best company right now in skiing IMO.
the new fujatives are a legit park/pipe ski. they are soft enough to butter with ease, but stiff enough for the jumps/pipe too. all around great park ski
scratchs, invaders, and thrusters are all similar in that they are more basic skis
thrusters= break and cheap construction. ok skis for a week.
invaders= price point. rel good park ski that have a large flex.
scratches= good solid park skis depending on which model you get (get what you pay for)
I highly reccommed the salomon suspect for this year and as to the ar6 the durability has gotten better but still not the best, also the pipe cleaners by armada are more of a strictly park ski than the ar6
