regular everyday household carpet actually works pretty well with some water and dishsoap. just look around your town for people doing spring cleanign and leaving old carpet by the side of the road. also check out the build-a-jib 101 cult for all of your summer jibbing needs.
im not gonna bash you or searchbar you cause your new to the site and lookin for info. if you have a truck and an ice skating rink close to your house this can also be a great option along with carpet. carpet is good for small rails but if you want to hit big rails you will need speed and snow from the rink is awesome. if you dont have a steep hill i would advise building an inrun that you can use to get speed. hope this helps and good luck
Get Astroturf, its generally extremely cheap and lasts longer than carpet does. Usually its less than .50 cents a square foot. Then if you get really into it, build yourself a drop in and start making your own rails and inruns and such.
