so the hrm park was pretty sick today, nice weather and all, learnin some new stuff for me was fun. anyways, last run of the day, (if you know the hrm park you know where im talking about) i went and hit the hip/table at full speed, headed towards the picnic table jib, pop off the left little bump to clear the knoll for the step-up, and i look down and there is a snowboarder chick just standing there. at this point i can guess im going anywhere between 20-30 ish miles per hour, and i hit this chick like full on from in the air. she freakin flies like 15 feet down to the bottom of the bowl, and i cartwheel like ten feet, lose all my gear, and it feels like my leg is broken, she's fine (which it should be the other way around due to the fact i was like 2wice her size), takes me like ten minutes before i can even stand up, my entire right quad is like destroyed because i think her shoulder went straight into it, and it takes me like 10 minutes to ski to the bottom because it hurts so bad. Now dont you think that there should be some sort of regulations for the parks? like, only enter if you know park ediquette? im all for "gapers" coming in and learning, because hey, we were all like that once, but seriously DONT STOP BELOW JUMPS. i really think that people would benefit if there would be some signs like that all over the place, so people that dont know whats going on dont get in the way of others and get taken out. would meadows listen to such a suggestion? oh and shout out if you saw me off to the side i think i saw some guys go by that are on ns...

that's shitty. there always seems to be an amazingly large amount of gapers in the hrm park.. but yeah, no idea what you look like so i have no idea if i saw you.

You make a good point, I've seen some pretty ridiculous things in the Meadows park over the years. Nobody ever calls a drop in so people get snaked frequently, and I've seen snowboarders destroy lips by sliding and hopping over them, not to mention people chilling on landings or right inbetween hits. Sometimes its okay though, it makes things interesting when you're in the air and about to decapitate someone standing around on the landing haha.

gotta love the five year olds on leashes rolling over the bigger side of the lips, while the dad is completely oblivious.

An enforced park pass is the only way to fix this.
You'll see it eventually, give it a couple years. Of course, whether or not it is enforced is completely another matter.
Personally, I want to make a 30 foot deep and wide trench around every park, and have a step up with a flat wall to get over it, and a jump over it at the end. There would be hungry bears and alligators in the trench. And I guarantee: no gapers would make it in. None.

this makes me think of the funniest thing i witnessed while in tahoe/thing that pissed me off most. imagine this:
An asian FAMILY, including 6-8 yr old kid complete with mother, father, and older sister, attempting to climb over the blue mesh fencing to one of the big parks. after 5-10 minutes they make it over and begin to ski down. the young boy skis over toward the in run to the jump, all the while im thinking "wow he is going to regret this." now before i explain what happened let me describe the jump. 40+ ft table with a 4-6 ft lip(4-6 higher than the deck) steep landing, and if you didnt clear it, one deadly knuckle. the kid goes just fast enough that he didnt just go down the otherside of the lip like a steep hill. instead he had just enough speed that he turn it into a 4-6 foot cliff to flat solid ice landing. Double eject, poles fly, helmet catapults off his head(apparently he wasnt smart enough to buckle it either), and he lies there. his family skis up, and rather than move him off the landing they just sit there, on the knuckle, like its a park bench. my friend and i ski down and ask if hes alright. the mother responds is shaky, barely understandable english "yes he alright." so then we tell them they should move off the jump before they get hurt even more by someone landing on them. The mother takes it personal and yells back at us saying "His helmet fell off!!" my friend and i both just turn to eachother and are thinking "no shit, but hes fine so get him the fuck off the jump!" they continue to sit there and block the jump for 10-15 minutes and my friend and i ski away......
REDICULOUS!

man I've got a million stories just like that one.
I'm getting so fucking sick of people, especially when you inform them that they are in a dangerous situation and they snap at you. unfukingbelieveable
I'm probably gonna start getting violent, i should stop skiing before I kill someone.

no you should tell me right before you do so I can take the body and put it on a spike at the front of the park to serve as a warning to others. You will either get a life sentence or a Nobel Prize.

Well we both would probably get a life sentence, but we would get an NS nobel prize!
