In case anyone is curious...
Skied the Hunter Park today, which was suprisingly half-way decent (its no boulder). Some good features to speak of which are broken down and listed below. On a side note, does anyone know why hunter didn't open park ave at all this season (aside from the reason that hunter sucks)? Usually it's chock full of assorted rails.
Up top there is a fun box, which by the end of the day was rather sticky. This is followed by a T-Box, same problem as before. To the left of the rails (line 2) there is a 15ft kicker of sorts. Kinda pops you up a bit more than it looks, somewhat fun.
In the middle of the park there is the half-pipe, which quite frankly is in bad shape. It may have been better in the early season, but it looks like it's suffered through the warm weather we have recently had (and all the sweet dudes in jeans ripping through the park...yeah!)
Small pyramid bonk with a treestump after the halfpipe.
The bottom of the park has a solid 30ft or so kicker to the left. There is a roll-in that you have to bomb in order to clear the jump. Pretty well put together, throws you straight out for the most part. This leads to a quarter pipe with 20ft walls maybe? No idea on the height, didn't hit it because it looked icey and i don't like ice.
To the right of the roll-in is a smaller jump, a UD box, FD Box and up box.
Features are well maintained but hunter could definitely utilize park ave better, maybe make a jump line (another 35+fter would be solid).
