So as I am done for the season due to a hurt leg, broken bindings and SAT's (haha sorry for bringing that up) I am thinking about next year's equipment.
So Im from Boston, ski either park at Wawa or trees up in VT, prolly will be out in Jackson Hole next year for a week or somethin and am leaning toward buying a fat ski. I rode the AR6's this year, loved the stiffness but obvi didn't like that they couldn't really float. I'll use them for pure park next year. Since I loved my first year on Armada, I have been researching options like the ARV, this year's JJ's and next year's JJ's.
Oh yeah I'm 5'9 150lbs., I am pretty good all mtn and decent in the park. I like a stiff ski that doesn't get tossed up in the bumps easily and isn't too soft that I over power it. Next year's JJ's look very inticing considering the length (185) and the rocker, which would be awsome for hell bent like park skiing (I assume?). However, will it be too fat and rockered to do anything in the bumps? I know its not meant for anything like bumps but out here u needa ski them to get to most fresh stuff. I assume itd be wicked awsome in the trees but should I be conservative and go for something more like the ARV?
I'm also not tied to Armada or anything so any other suggestions would be sweet.
Also, bindings wise, any info on next year's Salomon STH 14 models?
Thanks and sorry for the length of this.
