i actually just saw one of these stickers for the first time and it is so dumb.  why would you want a tele free wasatch?  they kill it harder than you.

^ haha exactly, i actually ski w/tele skiers that rip, it's just a joke. i wasn't sure if anyone else saw these stickers around pc...squeaky at the op makes them....swing by and ask for a bunch he'll be psyched.

Yeah, it may be a joke, but the idea of a heli free Wasatch is extremely legit. Such a dumb fucking place to allow commercial heli operations.

dumb place to allow. amazing place to have. It's too bad that it is there though.

I personally don't like snowmobiles either, although I would imagine they would be fun and nice to ride to get places.

-the people who heli-ski at snowbird are just a bunch of yuppies too lazy to skin, or use the alta cat op.

They have the same right to be there, just not in a helicopter. The Wasatch is a pretty heavily used back-country area, it makes no sense to ruin the peaceful back-country experience enjoyed by so many for a select few in a extremely loud, heavily polluting helicopter.

its not the pollution i care about its the fact that you get up at 5am you are hiking by 530 and a heli can still beat you to the top of superior. then shuttle around 16 people to numerous peaks and powder fields 1000 times faster than you can hike there. sometimes they run two heli's so thats like 24 people because one group of 8 is always waiting for a helicopter, thats dropping another group off somewhere else.so a busy day powder birds puts over 200 tracks in the back country, down some of the best shit.

I think we're missing the point.  This isn't about heli-free wasatch, who the hell cares about that.  This is about no more wookie, granola crunching tele-skiers in the wasatch.

i've never met a tele skier that is a hater... they're a friendly creature. even if they make random sized turns in random places in totally unpredictable ways... they're fun to have around, ya know? makes ya remember why you fix your heal.

this is to anyone who actually wants to ban heli skiing in the wasatch (I'm guessing NS doesn't care). But the powder birds have been there for longer than most of us have been alive and I'm pretty sure, as far as heli operations in the US and North America go, they've been open the longest.

ur a fucking dick kid. Everyone on this god damn site talks about progression and shit like that and then go and hate on tele skiers for just skiing. Who cares if u eat granola and offer it to fellow skiers. I have never been offered anything by a gangster looking skier when I almost always offer either food or a smoke to anyone that I ski with or ride the lift with. All the kids that fucking hate on tele skiers should just shut the fuck up and ride and not care about how others ski.

Skiing is all about having fun and if tele skiing wouldn't have been invented say bye bye to skins and backcountry touring as well to most skiing in general. Why don't you challenge your self and try to tele for a little while?

 I tele. ski and Sorry if people dont like me because my heel isnt locked in. But we are down to earth people and i dont eat homemade granola i think for the most part it is disgusting i eat cliff bars, nature valley and dry cup noodles. But i do share with my fellow skiers whatever it is from food or bud. So lets stop the hate.
And would you rather have a bunch of helicopters flying over or some chill man skinning up the mountain peacefully.
