Big skis little bindings?

Ok so heres the deal, im getting me some EP Pros soon (no hate please) and im trying to figure out what bindings to put on them. Main question : do bindings with smaller screw patterns rip out easier? Like FKS, yes they allow the ski to flex more naturally, but would they potentially rip out of a huge mounting surface such as the EP's? This isnt so much a question of what binding should i use, but a question of will i regret using turntables on ep's or should i look elsewhere.

companies saying that you should have bought bindings with a wider screw pattern is just a way to get out of a warranty on ripped out bindings. i dont even think rossi makes bindings with a wider screw pattern then their normal bindings.

No saying its going to happen, but its more likely.
seanpistol has FKS 155's on his EP's, no problems yet. PM him, Im pretty sure he had them helicoiled right away.

i think ripouts mainly have to do with the core. A tighter screw pattern will rip out easier but as long as the core is good it shouldn't rip out.

My buddy has fks on his hellbents and they are holding up fine. I just broke bindings on my lizzys so i put some fks on them. Havent ridden them much but they seem like they will be holding up fine. The fact that they are so low made them a little harder to ski tho but its not bad. If you have them i would give it a shot but i wouldnt go out and buy them to put on ep's

The skis I ride almost every day have FKS and I haven't had any issues. But then again, they're drilled into a couple sheets of metal so I'd probably break the heads off the screws before they ripped out.
As for your predicament, I'd go for it. The risk of a rip-out is probably higher, but if that happens you can just heli coil and be fine. Of course, you can always use a different binding if you don't need a 15+ DIN.

no way do i need a din that high, but i have and currently use a pair of p18s that i like and think would work good for the ep's.

okay about fks getting ripped out
it all depends on the screws you use
i researched it alot
and found out the most at this ski shop
(lous) it is in calgary
and the guy said that if you use the screws with smaller threads
there is a much higher chance of them ripping out but
i think those are the ones that are stock i cant remember
but if you use the screws that have the bigger threads
(if you can get them) you can use them on any ski
like i i know a guy that has them on some thrusters
and thats the softest core imaginable and has had Zero problems
and feel free to correct me if any of the info is wrong

Why risk it? Get STH16 or PX Racing.

Just go for it then. Worst case scenario is the heel rips out, then you can just get some PX style and redrill just the heel.
