Bought this cam about a month ago and it didn't turn out to be everything that I wanted and frankly I can't afford it right now.  The return time was 14 days and its well over that now.  Purchased from BestBuy. Still have the receipt.

Camera is HD full 1080i.
Has slow motion feature (240 FPS)
Super Steady Shot
10x Optical Zoom

Comes with everything that I bought with it:
Case (25.99)
4 gig memory stick (59.99)
all cables
docking station
4 year warranty (covers everything but submersion and complete breakage.  i.e. you can't bring it to them in 50 pieces.) 159.99

The total was $1330.33 and I would like to get no lower that 1100-1200 out of it.  Its basically brand new.  Filmed about 20 minutes of footage on it.  Zero cosmetic or structural damage to it.  I will take pictures if there is interest but to see what it looks like just search online.  It will most likely go to eBay shortly.

i bet the slow mo is sick! just be warned w/ sony cameras, i might be wrong w/ this one, when sony's run a high frame rate like that for slow mo, it drastically cuts down the quality to like a 480x360 video!  Could be wrong, just know it does that on other sony's!

^oh dont u dont have to worry. the slow motion feature is quality. ive seen bc footy off that camera using the slow mo and it was fucking epic. u can get some real nice shots.

i wouldn't say its that bad.  probably a little better than regular camcorders (800x600?).  but the quality is definitely not full HD.  its makes such a legit shot though.

I know you know this..... but for everyone else, take normal footage and just slow it down in editing software, if you can drop the money for an HD camera, than you should be able to drop the cash for decent software.  Hell you can just pirate some software for free, look at some tutorials on you tube and save yourself the headache of low quality. Bam!

if you do it in your editing soft ware its not the same.  you can't just make up other frames to go in between for slow mo.  aka it is "jerky" slow mo.  when you do it on the camera you get an extra ten frames per every one frame of regular frame rates.

Yeah, not true full 1080i hd, but the only cameras that are cost $10,000.

it's about as true as a consumer camera is gonna get.  Are you honestly gonna be able to tell the difference? prob not.  Plus if you had one of those 10k cameras then you would be droppin 20k on the 24in screen to view true 1080p that it'll display which is mainly used for TV broadcasts.  So overall a decent camera, this was going to be my secondary camera for optional angles when i was gonna start my own production company...... then i decided to go into the medical field, who woulda known. Oh well!  GOOD Camera though, def need to jump on it.

Actually, you're wrong. Only cameras that have 1080i in every frame of the 24 frames per second are very expensive, hvx's don't even have 1080i24fps, only 720p24fps.

it does seem to look that way.  it was taken up to the hill for a day and part of a night sesh.  there is not even any cosmetic damage though.  its the pictures.

i have a similar camera guys and they both use AVCHD video format. its fairly new so not all editing programs support it yet. just a heads up for whoevers interested.
