how does everyone get power to there construction lights?
im assuming a generator but i dont have one, is there another option?

generator is usually your only option depending where it is. if you dont have one you can usually rent them places for a day if you really wanted.

generator.  You can pick up a decent 3,000 watt for about $400

make sure you are running your car because hooking a bunch of lights up will drain the shit out of your battery

nah it wont car batteries re charge when the car is on. Just remember to have gas in your car. My boy used his car for lights and the fucken idiot did not have enough gas. Very funny situation, but also sucks.

my buddy got a generator at Canadian tire on sale for under $200 I don't think it's a real good one, but it does the trick
