Volkls 08/09 line-up

Has anyone else seen volkl's skis for the coming season? graphics are dope as shit and the Kuro is fucking huge, 164 @ the tip. Anyone know if they have improved the powder channel on the Katana so it doesn't break as easily?

Symmetrical, rockered, and super fun to butter around on.  I have heard good things about the chopsticks. I forget but someone on here skied on them for a while, he seemed to like them alot.

Volkl are excellent at producing skis that do everything. Bridges are such a sick ski, perfect width to go all over the mountain and still have loads of fun in the Park and Pipe. Stiff as a board mind you.

I skied the chopstick for a while.  Its not a noodle like the hellbent.  Its stiff enough to hold an edge much better on the hardpack

if you want to butter, you might want to look into something other than the bridge. and yes, good amount stiffer

^I'm not really looking for something super buttery, I'm just trying to get an idea of how stiff they are. I'm pretty interested in the walls, but there are a few other new for 09 models I want to find out some more on.

Basically, I want a really solid park ski that will be decent outside of the park too. I have Fujitives right now, and they're too soft outside of the park.

The walls would probably be the better choice although if you want to do powder skiing I would go for the bridge. They are basically the best "go anywhere" ski and replace the Karma
They are actually stiffer and a touch wider than the Karma at 92mm underfoot (karma 87) and the Karma is a very stiff ski.
I actually tried them and decided to stay with my Karmas. Paddy Graham used Karmas last year for park and pipe because they are really robust and actually good for anything.
If he's using them for the park, so will I.

I would say its about half the rocker of hellbents. they are a bit stiffer.
