ive seen some videos of people who didnt do a grab on a trick and it was still steezy. Like Alex Balsen in long story short. This is a really dirty 1620 i think everyone should see cause it shows that if your style is good enough the grab isnt necessary
yeah man that was dope. Although I do prefer slower spins, like switch cork 5s and at most maybe a cork 9, I have mad respect for people who can pull this shit off with style.
like what if instead of grabbing somebody just sat indian style with their hands to the side like they were meditating on a 900 or something, that would be sick
wow nooo, this might just be my opinion although i think i speak for most of ns when i say 1620's aren't the way to progress the sport, ii guess you could call it steeze considering he stays low and doesn't pencil the spin, but fuck its a 1620, while crazy hard, its just a ridiculously hucked spin
true that, the guy is just crazy to throw a 1620 on something that looked like an 80 feet but its no way as steezy as a smaller spin with some off-axis shits going on with those grabs that they do nowadays.
dude you are the ONLY one defending this "STEEZY" 1620, so im gona say its not steez, it doesnt have a grab, and i thought the kid was going to just explode on the landing, how he landed i have no idea, he just spun and went huge, thats not steeze, hate to break it to you.....you lose, we win, 1620s arnt cool end of thread.
either way that was till wack yah it wasnt steezy but you cant really steeze out anything that big
i would still rather see a nice smooth spin offf that jump but its ok
Uh, I'll give him credit, but I think it was total noob steeze. Like, I hate the staggered feet and arms moving up and down. like when kids learn their first 720 off a small jump, they put one tip up, and the other down while still staying in a ball, and then move their arms all wierd.
idk i thought it was pretty sweet. sure it wasn't tweaked out with some sick blunt grab, but it was a 1620 that was not pencilled out, and was somewhat tucked. plus i'm surprised his legs didn't just explode on impact...i'm pretty sure more people can do steezy 5's or 7's than a somewhat decent 1620. *i am in no way shape or form supporting spin to win*
That being said I give this guy mad props, I think it's clear he has tons of talent and can probably steeze the shit out of a 12 better than most people can steeze a 5 and I'm willing to bet that because he has done an ugly 1620, it's made him more able to feel in control on big spins. I bet he can do 9s that feel like 5s to him and 12s that feel like 9s. But now that people have seen this they'll just right this guy off as some fag who can only spin to win. But what would I know really?
Oh ya and does anyone think it's ridiculous that he was able to spin that much completly upright and still land it fine? I dunno about you but I would have probably drifted off axis to my face so props on the amount of control he had
