Why is it that when I tell some one that I ski, that they say, "oh, you act more like a snowboarder"

because people assume skiers are kinda gay like racers. its not the image but its the preception

depends on where you are. Now that Im in Utah saying Im a skier is "cool." Back east I would have to explain to people what I do and then yea, I was then a "snowboarder"

my school goes to whistler every year and when i told a couple of chicks in my class that i skiied she didn't believe me and told me i looked more of a snowboarding guy.

Snowboard
Skateboard
surf (although I wouldnt mind learning)
paintball
and do backflips

no he's definitely right. at hood you're more likely to be a snowboarder if you wear tight pants.. baggy shit usually belongs to skiers. not always though.

People think I'm a snowboarder sometimes even when I'm wearing ski boots.  And I live in Utah.  But that's just because I have tight pants.
