Gas prices taking a toll

You my friend don't know much about oil or oil production, so i wouldn't being talking about it if I were you. For starters oil shale is cost effective to produce once oil gets over 70 dollars a barrel, there has just never been a time in our history that oil companies have found it very profitable to extract oil from shale. But now with prices above 100$ a barrel and new technological advances it is very cost effective to find and extract oil from shale. This being the case huge oil shale reserves are starting to be tapped like the Peonce Basin in western Colorado (which holds over 5 trillion barrels of oil more oil than has Saudi Arabia has ever had). You're also not taking into account the huge amounts of oil that is held in oil sands in Alberta, which currently produces 2 million barrels a day and shows no signs of slowing down.

but seriously NS talking Oil Economics is like talking politics, very few people on this site have any real knowledge about either.

i pay $4.13 for deisel. it sucks balls.

gas blows the big one these days. I'm planning on driving my jeep from vermont back out here to utah (where i'm going to school and skiing) this summer but i have no idea how i'm going to afford it.

the prices stink north conway in nh are 3.45

$1.20/L in Vancouver. With a dollar at par, that works out to $4.54 a gallon. You yanks have nothing to complain about. And us canucks don't either if you take a look at europe and other places. It sucks, but its not high enough to change our spending habits yet. The rest of the world gets by just fine without massive SUVs and pickup trucks, we could too, we just don't feel like it.

and where do you think gas comes from? once its burned, it's gone. there may still be a lot left, but it doesn't keep reproducing, and eventually, if we keep burning it, it will run out. although probably not in any of our lifetimes.

I drive a pickup because I need to. Of course, need is subjective. I need to DH bike, dirt bike, and snowmobile. We pay upwards of $4.65 a gallon where I live and it sucks. The price of fuel has little to do with its availability. Gas prices are what they are because the market will support it.

i can't wait till they invent the teleportation belt. then you can just teleport everywhere. so your like shredding this gnarly face then you huck off a 500 foot cliff and just teleport to another sick spot. or your like hiking a rail or something but not anymore you can just teleport everywhere. they'd need to build teleport proof-ings for banks and secure buildings and shit though.

what happens if you teleport to the exact same place as someone else at the same time?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
