Pond skimming

i did it a few years ago. i thought it was extremely fun, but don't expect to ski afterwards, even if you make it, you'll still be soaked. The pool thing we did it across was set up badly, so you actually had to jump out at the other end which very few people (including me) could not do.

yeah...speed is key, the faster you go the easier it is. Just lean back and go all the way...i've never been able to do it, but if you can go switch and do a 180 half way through that would rock...

ya go as fast as you can and lean farely far back so that you don't nose dive into the water if its a downhill entrance onto the pond, and ya expect to get the back of your pants wet even if you make it across.

and don't worry about how wide your skis are, one of my "friends" who snowblades (god help us all) was able to make it across a 15 foot pond.....

my friends leaned back too much so don't do that, just take it as it comes and its easy. i think im gonna try switch pond scim this year.
