Where did you mount them?
I am 6'2" 175 and im deciding between true center and 1cm back.
Any thoughts? Will there even be a noticeable difference between those two mounts?

I would lay them out and measure between where the rocker starts in the tip and in the tail. Mount halfway between there.

Mount boot center in the middle of the flat spot.

boot center? mind explaining this?

that's just the point where you mount. there should be a line, or a notch, or some kind of a mark somewhere in the middle of the sole of your boot. that's the boot center he's talking about. when you say, "mr. shop tech man, would you please mount these boots with these bindings on these skis at -2 from dead center?" he lines the notch on your boot line up at -2 from dead center on the ski. or at least it should.
as for mounting, idk. i ski switch a lot, proficiently through pow, too, so i mounted at -1 from dead center, and i love it.

thats what I thought, i had just never heard it refered to that way. thanks.
and I think i will go with -1 from dead center. switch skiing is good there? would there be a noticeable difference between mounting 1 back and mounting dead center?

no prob.
there'll be little to no noticible difference between dead center and -1. might as well go -1 unless you ski switch 90 percent of the time. they kill it everywhere, and i absolutely love mine. when i got mine and i was talking to andy this summer, he thought that they did a little better mounted 1 or 2 back rather than centered, but really it won't make a huge difference. i would strongley reccomend 1 back rather than dead center, but either way you wont be dissapointed.

thats what I thought. I ski a lot of powder forwards so it sounds like -1 from dead center is the money spot. thats where im gonna put them.
now the next question, FKS or Jesters??? Thoughts?

haha, sick, good choice.
for bindings, i'm actually usng fks 120's on my bents, and no problems so far. i've heard of a lot of people breaking jesters, and not so many of the fks. jesters brake would fit, the fks you have to bend. people warn against fks, specially on wider skis, because they're prone to ripping out. but i use 4 pairs of fks, and none of them have ever ripped out or been broken in any way. even on some prophet 100's, and the hellbents. it's a bitch sometimes to bend them, but it's very do-able. i'd reccomned even the fks 120's over most other bindings... and the fks 155/185 over anything if you're big enough.
i'm a lighter guy, so the 120's work good for me.

i did FKS simply because i took them off another ski i had. if you trust the rebirth of Marker, then id like to think that the wider footprint of the Jesters would be better.
you might also want to invest in some muscle relaxer to cause your face will cramp up from the huge smile.

^^ looks like you're big enough to rock a pair of 155's pretty well. are you an aggressive skier, or are you relatively new? beware, the 120's are safer than the 155's/185's because the 120's have an upwards release on the toe, whereas the others do not. make sure you're a big enough/good enough skier before mounting those up, or else you won't have knees left.
but if you're aggressive enough, yay.

I have Jesters on my Bacons and love them. They have never given me any problems.

yea, i was just wondering because I use a 10 din and I like the upwards toe release on the 120s so I have a couple pairs of those, one mounted on my park skis and another pair waiting for some new skis. I am a very aggressive skier but I find a 10 din to be enough for me. Has anyone actually had their FKS rip out from hellbents? Or do you think I would be relatively safe?

You'll be good. If you're worried about it, heli-coil them from the beginning.

I have the turntable Look P12s on my Bents. If you're deciding between the 120s vs. the 155/185, I have all of them on differnt skis. The thing I have noticed is that the toe on the 155/185s will release a little more willingly and buttery, for sideways twisting falls.I mounted them -1cm from true center. Also, Core center on the ski IS true center, which is also the center of the rocker I believe. I love them at -1cm. I do ski all my skis there, but I feel its the best.
You are going to love the bents btw. It really feels like your cheating when landing in pow. Its no longer hard. Forwards you can land leaning forward, and the tips will barely get below the surface of the snow. It's awesome. And switch landing is awesome too. I seriously land probably 2 to 3 times more stuff souly because of the skis. The 189s (actually measuring 194.5) are heavy, but deffinetly aren't hard to ski. The rocker actually makes them more agile on hardpack. They never get stuck on edge like I would sometimes have on my old 189 Made'ns.
Long story short, they are awesome. And mount -1 from center. And get FKS/Looks.
All times are Eastern (-5)
