Advice on Group Guiding

Hi Guys,

I have been put in charge of a group of about 15 people going on holiday in a couple of weeks time. I will be out a week before them so I will get to know the area, that won't be a problem.

Has anyone got any tips on how to look after a group of skiiers, make sure everyone is okay, what to do or expect in an emergency etc?

I want to be prepared for any eventuality. The skiiers are of quite varying ability, does anyone have any advice of how I can plan a day for people, breaking up the groups into different abilities and wants i.e. park/pow/piste...

If you have to break up, stay in the same area.  Its best if someone in every group knows the area and knows what they are doing.  Also have meeting places and times planed.  Like me at so and so for lunch at 12:00.  That way every one can meet up, eat, some people may want to quite for the day and so on.  New groups will kinda form for the afternoon.  Also be sure everyone knows the name of the place you are eating and the name of the lift to get there and how to get there.  So if they get lost they can ask some basic directions or look on a map at how to get there.
