Intuition Liners?

So the replacement SPKs are the same size and everything but you are getting shinbang in these but not the originals? Unless your skiing style has changed, thats just strange.

I can't remember the difference between the ID liner and the Intuition liners (If any) but if you are looking for a totally custom fitted liner then go no further - intuition is the bomb.

Won't necessarily get rid of shinbang, but will definitely make the fit of the boot better (Which is often the cause of shinbang in the first place)

I'm from Australia so our distributor for Intiution is obviously different from yours - so I don't know where you can get them..Pretty sure Intuition are based in Canada and their US distributor is Sun Valley Ski Tools
(If there is no difference between ID and Intuition then I don't see why you couldn't go to Dalbello but no-doubt someone can correct me on that)

I used to have tecnica vento 10's and always got nasty shingbang. Ever since I got my Il moro's with the I beleive silver ID liner, all my problems have gone away. I'd definitely recommend picking up a pair.

I did a set of intuitions for my boots and made a world of difference, I think all boots should be that moldable. Not sure how they would work in SPKs though. I got Powerwraps in mine and the fit and performance difference is incredible (even in a "race fit" boot. www.intuitionsports.com has contact info and are super helpful people.

yea this is an understatement, theyre freakin spendy but they work like a miracle. if you got the cash i say go for it, probably will help alot.

The ID liner is specific to the Il moro true? It wouldn't work in an SPK because of the width issue and so on. IS this correct, i'm pretty sure it is.

id = intuition

 there is no point in buying id liner for 2 times the price of an intuition (can be baked and/or heated) or a full til intuition (they ask not to bake them forsome reasons i do not know).

the intuition will mold to your boots and to your feet once baked. The thing id that you'll probably have to get it done by a boofitting shop unless your not scared of ruinign them and ready to do some tech stuff with a couple friends.

Intuition would fit an spk boot sicne they expand-compress when baked in order to mold to your foo and boot.

thing is, the spk is overly wide  and have the worst boot insole under the liner I've ever seen and that gel pad could cause a problem when you put the baked liner in there since that thing is hot and gel could melt or soemthing bad like that. I'd replace that by a piece of  wood plastic or whatever that would use all the space in there just in case. I'm not 100% possitive on that but maybe simply  putting a  footbed shimmer that reduce the volume of your boot could  prevent the gel from getting messed up.

Anyway chances are you could put a size 11 (and still ahave a super wide fit) or a12 (tighter since there is more material to fill up the space) inuition liner in there depending on the fit you want to achieve but yea  call intuition in vancouver and see if they've done it before with an spk. then you can decided wich model you want and if you want to order from full tilt or ditrectly from intuition.

did you get  them molded to your feet???

if not, then the fact that the sin bang dissapeared is probably ony due to the boot, notthe liner.

you can get some for kinda cheap thesedayz if you lookat teh right place.

and I dont think spending 200$ on a good liner is expenseive when you guyz are spending more money to get an spk boot with leather (not directed at the thread maker) that makes it heavier and easier to scratch and look goofy( the leather flaling off).

isnt a replacement custme fit  3d or whateveryou want to call them iover 100$ retail???

Ya intuition liners are the best way to go. I love mine. they fit great and helped with shin bang a little. I got the Powerwrap liner which is pretty stiff but I liked it because it stiffened up my boot a little. As for the getting one in an SPK I think it's very possible as long as the gel pad is covered up. The liner molds to your foot. When they heat it up it shrinks A LOT it's super tiny and you get your foot in and it stretches it out. I think if your feet actually have a good fit with the SPK and there is no slop then I think you would be fine. If you do end up getting one remember to get a half or full size smaller liner. I have a 27.5/9.5 boot and I got a 9.0 liner and it worked great. Plus I think they only make full sizes.

Intuitions recommendation is always to go a size larger with the liners since the shrink down. I have 29.5 boots and got a 30 liner that fit perfect. I heat molded mine myself, but unless you are comfortable with the whole process I would not recommend it.

Funny how intuition, the guyz who are making the liners are telling people to buy the liners one size BIGGER. and the liners are FULL size only.

As I said in the binding memo, when it comes to tech stuff please make sure you ahve the right facts or the correct information. Boot fitting over the internet is hard and pretty much useless but can lead to good ideas when you know your stuff, giving wrong information to peiople can get them to loose a bunch of money or be real uncomfortable in their boots.

They can strecht to fit a bigger boot and become super thin and less cells per volume but the key is to have thenm shrink to fit your boot so you have more cells per volume wich give a more precise fit.

I've been spending the past 22 months reading everything about intuitions on tgr and  the intuition website and that 's the conclusion I came too.

Ya I got all my info from TGR and I've loved mine so far. I guess if your going to get some liners get them a size BIGGER.

So, I spoke to intuition and they recommend the full tilt liners over their own stock liners. This i because they are slightly softer, and for me, easier to get a hold of...

For other SPK owners out there, they advise that the liners will work fantastically with the boot, you just have to order up a size and a half as opposed to one size. This is because of the extra width and so forth. If you are after a high quality and comfort liner they recommend their alpine liner.

To Ced, cheers for your help man, makes a lot of sense. Just one thing though. I assume you are talking american shoe sizing yeah, so i would order the euro size?

Also, the full tilt ones can be baked i believe, at least that's what intuition told me...

just make sure you dont put the  steaming hot lienrs on the gel pads....


wouldnt a size and half  liner  be thinnier then a full size bgger since in order to have more volume in the boot that is half a size biggfer, they usually just  make a thiner liner without modifying the boot itself.

I'm going with intuition since the euro full tilt/K2 sucks donkey kong.

I will cover the gel pad, i am not gonna screw this shit up for real.

Also ced, i mean shoe size (11/12) and not mondo (28.0/28.5), over here we can get full tilt liners in half sizes, so for a 28, i would order a 10.5 uk as opposed to an 11.5.

I'm sorry of that doesn't make sense, i'm a drunk euro...
