So I was going to make a slide show of some of my recent photos, I was planning on using Final Cut Express, but when I put them into the time line they get all pixelated and shitty looking.....any suggestions or anyone know how to fix it?

Just a guess, but your sequence is probably set for DV Compression, which is pretty severe. Unfortunately, if you are printing it out to tape, it won't look that good. However, if you're just making a QT video, use a different codec.
To do that in final cut pro, you would select sequence>settings... and then you would choose a preset. DVCPRO50 will look a lot better. Uncompressed or animation codec will look the best but also give you the largest file size.

Ya change your sequence settings. Although it probably doesnt matter, just make sure you compress it right. I mix HDV into a DVCPro HD timeline and on the timeline it looks pixilated and pretty shitty, but when i compress it the HDV shots look fine and High def.
It might look bad on ur timeline, but should look fine when you compress it, if you compress it right.
