an acquaintance of mine died in that avi. A tragedy for sure, but one that could have been avoided by a skier with BC experience, rather than LA locals. but then again, who would expect an avalanche at mt high? i still feel like they should have noticed their slough was sketchy or what not. Apparently they got to one of the guys before he suffocated but he died in the hospital. RIP
Your one season pass is good for both resorts so thats a big plus. The weather is really nice and everyone is high on something.
In the summer you can go mountain biking too but they don't let you hit the ski runs anymore because it was trashing them for winter. You can still use the lift and ride outside of the skiing area though.
Also if your under 21 its one of the only places i've been in So Cal where i've literally never been asked for ID when ordering a drink. I'm 19.
Theres a dope italian place called Dongio's and a place called The Evergreen with really good duck. Theres a pizza place with the deepest dish pizza I've ever seen, and I've been to Italy and I work in a pizza place. Theres even a little theme park with a weird concrete slide thing.
A couple of my buddies moved out there and they said it was basically awesome, and they only paid like $800 rent a month on a small house.
