mods if you could leave this in ski gabber for a little while that would be sweet, thanks!
Hey guys and girls,
Queen's University's Urban Ski and Snowboard Club is putting on a rail jam at Summerhill on Campus.
Date: Friday March 14th
Location: Summer Hill, Queen's Campus (right next to the Biosci complex) For Directions PM me
Cost: 15$ to enter
Here is more info:
Jib Jam is a snow sport competition open to both skiers and snowboarders. It will take place at summerhill, which is the hill with the big white artsy square right across the street from Bio Sci.
As implied by the name, it will be a jam format competition. This means that for a certain period of time, everyone can ride as much or as little as they wish. The judges will be watching for riders that manage to stand out in this time period. The main goal however, is to get a bunch of people together and have the best session of the year.
It should be a pretty great show, so make sure you try to get all your friends to come out and watch.
It is $15 to enter, if you're interested email your name to 6aw13@queensu.ca
Helmets will be mandatory
There will also be a delicious BBQ serving out some tasty food.

I'll be coming for suree
Last two years the setup as been complete balls though.. last year we actually broke the rail which was made from the skinniest weak steel ever, and before breaking it moved about a foot side to side when you started sliding it. I don't want to scare anyone away or anything, I just know that if i drove 2 hours for it last year I would have been super pissed. Hopefully they step it up a little for this year.
I heard something about it being some kind of box this time? If you've got setup details Dave, please share

Just got back from the ILC(building on campus), and we built a somewhat legit set-up...
as it stands, we are gonna have a flat down box, an 8 foot up rail and a 10 foot box....should be fun times, slash etch-a-sketch...we may also have to steel rails, but we are awaiting confirmation of that, and if we have the time to weld them tomorrow
