I am getting a little frustrated with the review section. 90% of the products seem to be rated 9 or 10. It's hard to get honest feedback when I'm looking to get a new pair of skis when every review says "Anthems -10, Sickest ski ever"
um, there is only one anthems review, and its mine. and they are the sickest ski ever, and that review has helped like 20 kids decide what ski they want because i've given the real lowdown on it, not just a repeat what i've heard from catalogs. so i see no point to this thread...
Keep the source in mind when you're looking at reviews, and be really critical of the way the person presents their review. I do my best to make thorough and subjective reviews, but I also usually research beforehand and end up with something I really like. With that in mind, I'd strongly recommend looking at several sources for information, talking to someone you know who can tell you about what you're looking at, and checking it out for yourself. The way a ski (or whatever else) works for someone will vary greatly from case to case; I would fucking hate Anthems for everything even though lots of people think they're perfect. So....the NS review section can be a supplement to your information, but by no means should you base any decision off of one review.
Ya I definitely agree with that. I wish more people who had a less biased opinion made some good reviews. I am trying to find a better boot for me, but none of the reviews are helping me out.
Ya I know, I was just using a random example. I actually read that review and it was one of the better ones. I just threw a name of a ski down to rant for a second.
