Heading To Tahoe

Hey guys im heading to Tahoe from Western Ny for 2 weeks of skiing. Im thinking of Kirkwood cause my cousin works there, but whats my best bet? And where should I go for some good night life? Just turned 21 so I can legally do this shit, where do the chicks head after dark? haha thanks guys

Just hit up south shore man. 
Trust me i live on the north shore and its super boring. 
But check out multiple resorts.  Kirkwood is super sick, especially on pow days, although its a ways away from tahoe.  Alpine has a sick park, as does sierra (i think).  Just kinda go to different resorts and see which one you like best.  Everyone has their own opinion. 
If you want any sort of nightlife in the tahoe basin, then South Lake it is.  If your willing to stay in Reno, it can be fun down there too.

Nice, my cousin lives in south lake and is a snowboard instructor at Kirkwood, so If i stay at his place i'll be pretty centrally located it sounds. I was thinking about just getting a season pass at one resort cause for 2 weeks of skiing it would be soo much cheaper but I dont want to sell myself short on seeing new mountains either. Guess i'll see what i have in my budget and go for it. Thanks man

well south lake isnt necissarly "centrally located" its still 30 minutes from kirkwood and 15 from sierra and heavenly right there. 
Alpine, boreal, sugar bowl, squaw, and northstar are all over on the other side of the lake.  if the 89 is open its about 30 minutes to those, but if its snowing then the 89 is closed and its a good hour and a half away.

Bentley are you nuts?? why would you go to south lake, man if I were you id stay in reno cuz you can party and theres 50 times the ratio of hot chicks compared to shady ass south lake. and then you can ski some worthwhile resorts. just my opinion

The only reason i said that is cuz his cousin lives in south shore and works at kirkwood.
Oh yeah dude i wouldnt touch the girls in tahoe. Hell i live here and dont touch em. KC has an extremely good point there.
But yeah what he said if you dont mind not seeing ur cousin much.

I'm with you guys, ski the northern mountains if you can... that's where I'm headed again in a couple days. 

I think I was out at a photo shoot with you two ^^ last time I was in the T, out on a reservoir or something, early jan.?

Squaw is sick, but its my home mountain so i'm biased. There park is pretty disappointing this year. But if you catch it on a weekday, hike the palisades or Granite Chief peak when they are open.

So Sierra and Northstar and Squaw is where its at? and thanks for the warning on the chicks, maybe i'll check out the reno area if I get a chance. I'll also be spending some time around the Chico area, and I heard thats got a pretty good party scene even if I just go to tahoe for the skiing haha. This is my first trip out west, and I'm unfamiliar with all the back country scene. any tips on that?
