so me and my bro just split the cost of all the hot waxing stuff and he got mad at me and he wont teach me how to so NS im calling for your help it would be greatly apreciated for spring skiing
take the iron, melt the wax by putting it on the iron, let the drops of wax fall on to your skis. Then take the iron and smooth out the wax on ur skis so that the entire base is covered with wax. let it dry then scrape.
how focused do you want to get? if not super focused bring your skis in the house so they are room temp. Make sure you dont heat your iron too hot. It is too hot if you smoke out the joint. drip your warm weather wax on your first ski (up the full length). Then iron it in. Keep the iron in motion. If you leave it in 1 spot you can fuck up your bases. Generally people will drip too much wax on so be careful not too. Cool and scrape with a plastic scraper
If you want to get super focused you will need a brass brush and a horsehair brush. let me know
on this forum its best to stick with the basics people are telling you all the posts above are pretty good for keeping it simple. a lot of people here dont know what theyre talking about so watch out.
