Just a bit of background, I'm 6'4, 175 ish, currently on K2 PEs with Rossi Scratch 120s traditional mounted. I'm pretty sure the gear is all 05-06, but the bindings could be different (red and black graphics on the PE). I'm mostly an all mt skier, but I do go in the park. I'm anywhere from 10-50% park, depending on the day/mountain/mood. I picked up backscratchers from my dad a long time ago, and I've added most of the oldschool tricks to my arsenel (spreads, daffys, cossacks, etc.) and I started spins this year. 1s are no problem, and I've landed a few 3s off some small jumps.
Now for the problem. My DIN last year was set at about 5.5, which is way too low but I didn't really notice it because I wasn't doing anything crazy. This year I started noticing I was ejecting at some random times, and one of my first attempts at a 360 one of my skis came off just as I started the spin. I cranked it up to around 8, and tried again. If anything, that made it worse. I was still ejecting on spins, including one double ejection. Worse, I ejected carving on a groomer, which has never happened on any of my skis ever, and I've been skiing since I was 5. Cranked it up to 10, which seems fine so far, but I haven't really done any spins or tested it yet.
Is it normal to be ejecting just because I'm spinning? Hopefully I can get out and test them again, but living in southeast PA and being low on cash will probably get in the way. Any suggestions, tips, whatever?
...Wow, that was much longer than I intended it to be.
