I have no clue what type of file to upload my ski movies as, im not a computer wiz at all and I want to be able to watch the movie in the long run, not just listen to it.
the options the program give are...
AAC, AC3, MP2, MP3, OGG, RA, SUN AU, WAV, and WMA
did I download the wrong program? one that only gives audio?

^its not illegal to back up dvds
if you are looking to get a dvd onto your computer hand brake gives you many choices, from IPOD to TV, etc...then you could also use EazyVCD, which rips to Mp4 format and works in itunes, although the titles are not there. I would recommend HANDBRAKE.

dvd decrypter and videora handles any dvds you need, good tutorials on how to do it too.
