Downloading music now completely legal?

I heard that you can now download some software or something and all the music is legit and fully legal anyone know anything about this? I also heard that music companys gave in and illegal downloading is now legal.

its legal and free but what you can do with them is limited. Im not sure entirely what you can and cannot do.

it's not free but its pretty cheap, generally like 1.09 an album.

its legal now in Canada i think, instead of paying for music its now part of out taxes. i could be wrong

That's definately not true. Think of how many people who object to that, who already buy their own music legitimately, they would get fucked over.

there was talk of adding $5/mo on internet fees in Canada to compensate for illegally downloaded music

yea Ruckus is offered to most college students and they have 20+million songs and it comes with a drm, but you c an find many programs like tunebite to take the drm off. I have over 300 FREE cd's from Ruckus, if your college does not offer it talk to the dean cause it costs college NOTHING.

yea free to college kids and it has a drm on it which is easy to get rid of and then u can do what u want with it
