heard strapton is gonna wipe out the whole park to setup for the uso of snowboarding big air jump cuz the mountain doesnt wanna pay to blow snow sounds prettyy wackkk
yea but they dont clear out the park completely just the bottom area last yr they dropped in on the last jump landing now their gutting all the jumps and the rails
this is true and quite sad to be honest. but it'll be worth the wait to hit the us open course when it opens up. from what i've heard the slopestyle course is going to be sick....as long as it stops raining
this year you have to pay for a pass to use the us open course. I won't participate, just because of the principle of it. suntanner was fun while it lasted.
yea i understand that theyll open that up w/ pay but i mean its not gonna be open until the 28th so essential weve got fuckin nothing to ride for the whole month of march..
yea that does fucking suck casue suntanner has been sick this year but this is a huge even for them and it prob brings in a good amount of money plus to build the uso park and big air jump and pipe prob cost a shit load of money
does that mean they're going to keep the course in good condition until closing? usually they just let that shit fall apart after the comp and any photo shoots.
stratton should keep the first few jumps like last year makes no sense to take them down they dont need to drop from that high up to hit the big air jump
dammm....suntanner was so fun this year and they had so many sick rails and stuff on it they should atleast make the min ipark under the 6 pack bigger/bigger rails like it was earlier in the season and make smoothie have maybe two rail options at the bottom? they should move some rails also to the medows and maybe make a few small jumps there but watev stratton is so fucken cheap
I don't understand why they need to take down all those jumps, why cant the snowboarders just roll over the deck like normal people? If they just put one good sized jump, like the 4th one now, i would be happy because without it I'm going to have to ride shitty ass old smoothie for a month.
My buddy works on the park crew and he said that Suntanner isn't coming back. Does anyone know if they are leaving the open park up?
They are trying to save $$$ on snowmaking, they would rather take down their entire park for one big air contest then blow snow to build it. Fucking pathetic.
what really sucked is i was up there this weekend. The snow was sick saturday and sunday, and i planned on lapping suntanner monday all day, only to find that they closed it.
but yeah, where is the usopen course? i might come up for a weekend later.
this is the only solution. no poles. trains. hit as many gapers with snowballs as possible. piss everyone off. it shall be an annual newschooler tradition: remind strapon to quit fucking us.
Not that it matters...
...Burton is the main reason that Suntanner gets destroyed. No it won't be back so thanks to Burton for that too. Oh yeah, the Open park will be kept open and yes there will be a charge. I agree with you guys and If I said everything I think about this situation I would prol get fired. Cheers, = (
Oh yeah, I got to ride Loon 2 weeks ago and the parks there were sick!! -props!
i know you might not have any idea, but why on earth is there a charge to ride the open park, i mean, they took away suntanner, which is pretty gay because it left us parkless, and then they are going to charge us to ride suntanners replacement, it just sems kind of wack
Yeah, I already bought a seasons pass and it's fucking absurd that I should have to suffer while the main park gets ruined, and then pay MORE money just to go in the new park. Is there anything that can be done to avoid this, how much will it cost, etc?
its 10 bucks a day, which is really shitty, i mean most people ssay its just 10 bucks w/e, but really, i bought a season pass which cost a shitload for a shitty east coast mtn, and now you are charging me more to ski your park. Everyone should just poach it, question, is the big air jump being left open to the public?
im ducking around the fence when the time comes. i paid to much money for a season pass for this mtn to pay. thank god im keystone right now riding a good park. stratton should learn from them.
