Just came over the scanner......
Summit County: #1: L/G 2 Copper Mtn to SAC level 2 21 y/o male spleen lac after a snowboarder vs skier crash. #2: L/G 2 Breckenridge to SAC level 1 activation 25 y/o male crash on the snowboard park now AAOx1 and posturing
FYI......L/G 2 is one of the Flight for Life choppers.
This is getting crazy, so many people are getting hurt on the mountains of Colorado. Just this past weekend A Texan got killed at Winter Park, hit a tree, no head protection. Now if you did read above, another guy got hurt in the park at Breckenridge. Man, this almost makes me want to stick to back country. Just becareful out there.

A few guys I know were involved (ski school and ski patrol) in the woman dying at WP at the weekend. Apparently she lost control on Mary Jane trail (groomed blue) and smashed into a tree, there was blood everywhere. They were pulling people out of line up at ski school to clear a path down the mountain. Horrible

yeah, it's nuts. Though I haven't seen too many accidents at Crested Butte where I work (outside of the Extremes Comp)...but still. Be careful
