3rd mount bad?

is a ski thats been mounted three time bad. like would that compramise its quality and would it break more easily and stuff. basically is a 3rd mounted ski bad?

They say that 3 mounts is the mas before a ski loses it's structural integrity - I personally think it depends where the previous mounts have been. If the holes haven't been too close together then mounting a ski up to 4 times is doable, but generally if the hoes have previously been quite close then 3 times is about the limit.

say a shop messed up twice and then got em mounted on thier third try would that be bad cause then the holes would be preaty close together?

If they messed up twice already, demand new skis and go to another shop to get them mounted.  Having them mount your skis up incorrectly once is fine, but twice is crossing the line.

well this thread is not about my skis but some one elses, and i dont think they would be able to get new ones. so are the skis any good any more?

what? having them mess up at all isnt acceptable.

1 mess up=store credit of some sort at least
2 times= i would want new skis

no..i wouldnt go more than 3 mounts depending on the ski.

with certain skis you can mounted much more than 3 times.

so if i were to buy these skis they wouldnt break on me or trear out ot any thing? they are lizzies

just make sure the mounts are more than 1 cm apart.

are you going to mount for the 4th time or 3rd?

if its for the 3rd time go for it.. if its the 4th id look elsewhere.

ok well, they are on thier third mount, like they have two miss mounts and now they are mounted. and id buy em w/ bindings and not remount them
