troubble with corks

k i wanna stick a cork soon but i keep doing 720 to ass plant. i can get cork but not out...am i setting the trick wrong?how should i properly set it and how much height/distance do i need?

When you go into you rotation you should be looking back and down at the tranny your taking off from, that will start the corked rotation. You will stay fairly corked until about 540, at that point (gravity will help) when your coming to 7 you should be looking out for the landing and that should begin to straighten you out. Mileage is the key, keep trying you'll get it.

I do the same things, if I go really corked, I cant get uncorked and land on my hip.

it's looking back at the takeoff yes, but you have to remember that cork is 2 different axis for each spin, so you need to initiate a side to side rotation as well so it turns over...for example: as well as being back parallel to the ground you want to do this: if the takeoff was the bottom of the post: |\-/| from head back to head front...so you have to get that side 180 rotation so it will turn over and you land more forward....i hope that helped, it was a little hard to understand i bet...oh well, i tried

this might help that diagram.

think of these bars as you laid out parallel to the ground spinning a 720...as well your body needs to be doing this:

oh wait just so this isn't a complete waiste of time... try tucking the thing up, and looking at your feet. and go a bit bigger... might help you... a lot of people worrie about the spin too much, and end up untucking... and it is harder to come to your feet like that... so just hang on a bit longer... cool. lates

Basically you need to know where you are in your rotation/ spin at all times. If you know where you are in the air you will know what to do, but if you do a trick and all you see is one big blur, then your risking it.

haha, sorry, i was trying...no, it def. helps a lot to stay compact in the air. That goes for just about any trick, but I was just trying to say that your body will have to spin on 2 axis's at the same time, one to spin the 540, 720, 900, 1080, etc...the other to spin you from head back, to head front...it's almost like a flatspin body motion...anyway, i'm done trying to explain god damnit, just practice till you feel it.

I never really TRIED to cork them, but I got a few cork 7's to back plants by acciedent. they hurt.
