Anyone go there, planning on going there or want to go there? any thoughts on the school? i know theres no snow down there but the school is badass and im deciding whether or not i should go there.
i went there once 4 a football game cuz they were playing penn state and im a big penn state fan. looked like a nice school. and there ur only a little over an hour from paoli peaks. if u drive two hours u could go to perfect north in lawrenceburg which always has a sick park
dont go unless you are a fan of greek systems, cuz you pretty much have to join one to have a social life from my experiences visiting friends there. i personally hate the greek systems and really don't like the school, its a beautiful campus and good school tho, a lot of my friends that went there are transferring to my school (ohio state) next year.
yeah definitly, im not a fan of the whole greek system either, its def not my style, i looked into ohio and isnt that all greek too? how is it over there compared to IU?
has anyone gone to a big ten school and not joined the grrek life? i mean il join if i had too but has thee been anyone who hasnt joined and had good?bad experience?
I go to MSU, I like it alot. It gets pretty crazy up here on weekends whether you are in greek or not. There is just sooo many people that are obsessed with the greek shit it can get annoying as hell. You can definitely find shit to do though if you aren't greek, its not that hard.
me i go to ohio state, and i haven't been to a single frat party here and i love it. yes, greek is big here, but you have to keep in mind OSU is one of the biggest schools in the country, so even tho the greek system is big, there are also a shitload more people that arent in the greek system, there are wicked fun huuuuuuuuuuge house parties every weekend, i just don't see the need to spend money to join a frat and be able to go to the 'cool frat parties' when there are massive house parties with plenty of fine women and alcohol and minimal bros. im just a freshman now but me and my buddies already leased a phat house for next year, if you go to OSU hit me up.
I go to Michigan and didn't go greek and I like it. Frats are way more popular with the out of state kids here just because its an easy way to meet a bunch of people where most of us from in state already know people or at least can talk about other stuff in michigan.
what are the requirements to get into ohio state? on top of this all im gonna be a transfer. I did the community college thing for a year and now will be transfering in as a sophmore, so now what do u think about joing the greek system, ive talked to a couple people and they said since im transfering i almost have to.. any thoughts?
That's one of the stupidest things I've heard. You are never in a situation where you 'have' to join the greek system. If you are an outgoing guy you can meet new people and make friends whether you're a sophomore/freshmen/senior. You get out of college what you want to get out of it, meaning you can do whatever you want.
My cousin went to IU and he didnt join a frat and he didnt have any problems with social life, so you definitely don't have to. I think frats are kind of for people who are a bit insecure and can't make real friends on their own. No offense to anyone in a frat, I realize it is a big generalization but it seems to be fairly accurate.
Breathing is about the only prerequisite for getting in. If you transfer you'll for sure be ahead of the game.
I don't see why you would ever have to join the greek system. Its really easy to make friends, especially at a school that big. There are plenty of clubs and stuff you can join that you don't have to pay for.
yeah i def think im pretty outgoing and have never had any issues making friends or meeting people. im def not a fan of the whole greek thing so by the sounds of it then i got nothing to be worried about,
