Question about external flash on d-slr

Hey so I have a D100 which I absolutely love, and when I bought it, it came with a nikon sb-28 speedlight.
Now I would say I know a fair share about photography, and I mainly take art shots. But my question is, should I keep my speed light or sell it? I have had it for a year or so, and I just find that I never want to carry it with me or use it. I dont really like flash at night or low light situations and I am never doing portraits, so I dont think I have any use for it. Any suggestions, even on what I COULD be using it for? Or should I sell? Thanks!

i think it always usefull to carry one with you, maybe you don't used it so much but when you'll need it you realized that the build in flash is not enought to do great picture
btw i you sell you sb-28, i thinks you'll have maximum 50-75$ for it cuz the more powerfull sb-600 is now sold 269$ new i think
so if i were you i vould keep it in case

I've been contemplating selling one of my flashes. The only way I could keep using them is by getting a power pack. I run through about 10 aa's per shoot and it's getting annoying. The rechargeables I have are dying too.

Yeah idk on ebay they are going for about 125ish, so that is pretty attractive considering I never use it. But do you guys have any ideas where I could use it? (as i said i do art mostly and hardly ever portrait)

I'd say use your flash for sports photography, I know on pentax the fastest shutter speed you can use witht eh built in is 1/180, which is starting to bug me, which is why Im going to buy a flash for half price at a clearance sale right now...
