alright so the gondola's good n fucked up, done for life. the triple went down the other day, out for repairs. and swifty...well, we all know swifty's story. stop n go, soon to break down too.
my question is, at what point does boyne start caring for their customers and put some money into new lifts instead of a goddamn mini whistler village at the bottom? or is it the fact that they love money way more than their customers satisfaction, and thats why they make us suffer..?

my friend who is in architecture at msu told me that one of his professors told him that he helped work on the tram and it has never been structurally sound and could derail at any minute

Big sky will only become a quality resort again when boyne sells it. I wouldnt doubt that they put more money into advertising that theyre the biggest resort in america rather than putting money into basic maintenance

I heard rumors that Big Sky is already sold, so maybe we're in for something better. Regardless, they've priced themselves out of where myself and most of Bozeman can afford, so I could really care less.
But yeah, the lifts up there are ridiculous. Not only do they break down all the time, but a big person can literally twist a chair off the cable on Challenger. Think about that the next time you're up there on a windy day. I got to hear all kinds of horror stories about Big Sky from the lift mechanics at Moonlight and am eternally grateful I never decided to work at a place like that.
I'll still ride my bike up there in the summer though, that has an entirely different atmosphere to it than the winter season.

the triple is down, so they were bringing people up to the tram via cat. then the cat decided to break so people were hiking. I expected more from all the hype they put into their advertising.

so why is it still there? I wonder if they do less maintenance on their lifts since its on private land and they dont have to follow as many forest service regulations..

the lift lines weren't that long at all, but the chairs, especailly swift current stopped so many times, even on the non-windy days, it was way annoying, maybe thats typical i don't know
All times are Eastern (-5)
