Replying to Looking for a sick all mountain ski - Bacon, Seth, Hellbent, Prophet?
Alright, so for the first half of the season I had a pair of 186 blends as my only ski. After having them delam on a trip to Utah, I had them warrantied and have been using just my old foils as park skis. I wanna get a good two ski quiver going with a park ski and then all mountain/powder ski. I'd be using my all mtn ski for trips out west, maybe 5 days, as well as any powder days we get here on the east coast. So what I want is a ski that is good in powder but can also hold up on groomers if theres not much powder. I'm mainly looking at the skis in my title, Bacons, Seth's, Prophet 100's, as well as Hellbents for a more fun ski if its possible. I think the Bacons would be a very fun ski and perfect for some pow days every now and then. I was mainly looking at the 09 Obsethed with the 105 waist and more rocker, which seems like it would be great on groomers and still good in the powder. Haven't heard anything bad about the Prophet 100, seems like a really solid all mountain performer, like my blends with a bit more waist. And lastly the Hellbents which would be awesome in powder, but I'm wondering about using them on groomers or on the east coast.
I'm mainly looking for a solid playful ski that can ski groomers but still has good performance in the powder. I'm 6'4" 230 lbs, so kinda stiff is good. I like the flex of my foils, not stiff at all, so something kinda soft might not be that bad either.
