I was skiing yesterday and did a little 180 into some pow... and my binding made a pop sound and ejected when it didnt really need to. When i found my ski i looked at it and the wings (or whatever they are called)and they were tweaked up wards and twisted so one of them was completly above were it should have been. My friend was able to pop it back in place... but it was like they didnt release horizontaly. it looked like my binding ripped out, but it didnt... i have rossi bindings and plan on having them looked at tomorrow... but i was wondering if you guys could help any. sorry that explanation sucks... but are theysuposed to do that
im assuming it was a look/rossi binding? cuz if thats the case, its just the horizontal release. i had it happen to mine, just pop it back down and you are fine.
so you mean that the toepiece went vertical? if so it should be fine, just waffle stomp it on an angle and it should go back into place without a problem
I have two pairs of rossi pivot bindings, both of which ahve done this. its normal. its just the way they release sometimes. ussually when you pop out of the toe you dont turn it enough to get it stuck up like this, but sometimes it happens. just step on it and pop it back in and it is good to go.
same thing happened to my axium 100s. i thought they were broken, but u just kick em back down and keep skiing. i usually ski p10s but someone stole my skis and when i got new skis i had a pair of old axiums lying around
