On March 29th, Saturday Detention will invade
Sunday River. This is a team competition made up of 4-5 skier teams from high
schools that do not normally get the chance to ski competitively. Sorry but if
your school already has a team that competes on a regular basis this event is
not for you. Not only is this event for bragging rights and a trophy that will
put your schools state championships to shame, but every dollar collected with
the entry pledge sheet will go to Maine Handicapped Skiing.
For those who don’t know, Maine Handicapped Skiing is a non-profit organization that helps people that are blind, deaf, injured defending our nation, etc. ski for free as well as offer numerous other summer programs.
So don your schools b-ball jerseys, volleyball short-shorts, or maybe even paint up your chest to and come shred with us. With seven teams already signed up, be sure to get moving before the 24-team limit is reached. Talk to your fellow skiers at school, create a team, raise some money, and get ready to have a good time because Saturday Detention is only weeks away.
To register your team or to get more information feel free to send a PM my way. I am organizing this event after all.
Oh I almost forgot, this event is sponzzzzzzssssseeeerrrrrrrrreeedddddddd by Newschoolers.com with other sponsors pending, and of course there are few more tricks up our sleeve to be named later.Â
