So I bought these bindings last year during the huge Getboards sale where all bindings were $99 and skis for $199. While they were purchased on like 04-14-07, I didn't began using them until December of 07, when the Snoqualmie season began. Since then, they've only been used for about 6 days, in fact I still have my receipts and everything. The bindings, aside from a few scuffs look new. I thought this might be a warranty issue but upon looking at 4frnt's warranty webpage, it's been over a year since I purchased, and I really can't prove that this was a result of manufacturer defect rather than use or "abuse".
So my question to you is, how important is the housing? If I remember correctly, can't you swap them out or something? Isn't the releasing mechanism the importan part... and that's still safely stored. I tested the binding after I noticed the crack and it was still working properly. I dunno, here are some pics:
