I am fucking in love with these skis. For about four years I rode those Larose pro model Dynastar Concepts and I liked them a lot. This year I decided Ive had enough of those boring narrow sticks and I wanted something fatter. Even though I'm on the east coast and ski primarily packed snow, I wanted to have a ski that could slay in the powder, because after several years of skiing on narrow ass Concepts I had had enough. So I snagged a pair of the 188 Jp vs. Juliens. They are 103mm under foot, I don't know specifically what the concepts were but I think they were probably something like 80-85mm underfoot. The first time I rode the JJs I felt like the biggest noob of all time. I could barely turn. The skis have very little sidecut and I felt like I kicked it back to 1993 on my old Rossi straight skis. A few months later I am deeply in love with these skis and they shred hard. I've only had 1 powder day on them and it was one of the greatest ski days I've ever had. Wow. Buy these skis. Don't be intimidated by their fattness even if your on the East Coast.
