Mexican side of the drug war

Doesnt it seem funny how America acts like they want to help mexico fight the mexican drug problem as if it was a plan to HELP mexico? Doesnt everybody know how much poorer mexico would be if it werent for drugs? In Mexico drugs are not a problem for them they are a huge part of their economy. Its a dangerous thing to get involved with, but drug trafficking Brings Money Into Mexico. Not much else in mexico brings in much money besides Jose cuervo and corona and a few other things. But Economically, selling drugs to the US keeps mexico from being even poorer than it already is. I think mexicans are very friendly and hardworking people. And seeing how much the US is dicks to them not letting them into the country, Im happy about the way mexico currently makes money off the United States stupidity regarding the drug war.

when america says their gonna help rid mexico of drugs its only america caring about itself. America also took down alot of the activity in columbia, pretending that they were helping them when they were only making columbia poorer than ever.

Yeah but the wealth isn't spread among the average ordinary person living in mexico. Only the drug lords, and the people who choose to run drugs in between them. On top of that, the drug lords strike so much fear in the heart of the people that even their government won't do anything about it.

yeah but the dealers in mexico spend A TON of their money in mexico on cars houses... And if your not involved in the trafficking then you have nothing to fear so i dont know what your talking about

you do realize that columbia was the most dangerous country in the world for a reason right? You can argue that its because of american pressure to fight cocaine production, but it was mainly because of pablo escobar, who was THE drug king pin of the world in the 80s. He had so much money, he was ranked in the top ten richest people in teh world at one point. He ordered anybody who spoke out against him or even who he didn't like to be killed. Sounds like a great country right? 

Sure, if drugs were an accepted, respected business, it would be a legitimate argument. But, cocain is cocaine, selling it will never be a proper business. Escobar only wanted respect, but was never able to get it because Columbians realized that cocaine isn't a legitimate business, its a drug. So yes, it made columbia poorer. But, if you add any amount of ethics into this situation, that argument is void

Yea you do have stuff to worry about even if you aren't part of the drug trade in Mex. Have you been down to mainland Mexico? Not Cancun or Puerto Vallarta. The majority of money from drugs doesn't go back into the local economy. When I was there last year the drug lords had blown up a building and shot several people in a very small town that I was surfing in a month before I got there. They are able to pay off the police or if they can't, then they go to war with them and innocent people are hurt. The drugs also give police officers heightened authority which they use to extort people of means. So shut the fuck up unless you have been and actually know something about it.

actually escobar was loved in columbia. He donated to hospitals, made baseball stadiums, the only people who didnt like him were in rival cartels. And if you minded your own business you would be pretty safe.


and to let you know recently an elected leader in columbia was celebrated for LEGALIZING THE GROWING OF COCA PLANTS. because that means farmers can now grow coca for alot of money legally, but its still illegal to make cocaine. But it makes it easier for columbia to make money from producing cocaine, which as a country it has a right to do no matter how much the US pisses and moans about it


and snowbladesforlife you dont know what the fuck your talking about. The mansion in the video was built by mexicans builders for a drug dealer. The mexicans who build that house are getting payed by drug money. Direct example of how drugs help the mexican economy

No wonder why the poor and impoverished citizens of Mexico want to come to America, so they don't have to worry about people affialted with drug cartels blowing up Acetone Peroxide Bombs in the street...

and Yauch, saying drug money is good because it gives people jobs?  so all forms of illegal activities that earn money are good (drugs, prostitution, gambling, extortion, murder for hire, slavery, etc) are good because the money earned gets spent?  what the fuck?  the lives lost and/or ruined are outweighed by someone's fancy house, cars, and clothes?  seriously?

my brother lives in Guadalajara.   And ALL THE VIOLENCE IS TARGETED AT RIVAL CARTEL MEMBERS. Americans  get  accidently  shot  all the time,  sometimes by cops.

and thats like saying america is not safe because of what happened to the world trade center

mexico overall is a pretty safe place compared to alot of other countries. Tijuana has alot of drug related violence cause its right on the border. And Look at LOS ANGELES.

Cocaine is partially illegal because imagine how much more the health care costs would be if 25% of the population blew coke daily. It is the same reason that seatbelts are mandatory; people can't control themselves without weighing the costs that they have on other people. The theory is that if they did legalize all drugs that the current generation would have a high addiction rate and all the problems associated with that. The following generations would be able see that it's detrimental and have a much lower usage rate and keep themselves from becoming addicted. The price of that is too much for the US to endure, so they won't be legal.

How can you think all this drug dealing/trafficing doesn't spill over into innocent peoples lives? They live in fear everyday. This is like saying yeah I live in Afganistan but I'm an innocent person, I'm totally safe. The fact is, you live around violence, sooner or later that violence is going to come knocking whether you like it or not.

and yeah today they do alot of stuff like putting gps in a kilo and dropping it off the coast so they can track it when it floats ashore and pick it up.

I wonder what it would be like if drugs were legal? Would the crime rate PLUMET? Probably, you wouldn't need a corner or a gun anymore. No more shady transactions that require a gun, you buy your crack over the counter. But what problems would that raise? A higher death rate? More people addicted because its more easily attainable? Interesting arguement

dude, i used to work with some mexicans at a farm a few summers back (when that young cant get many jobs)  they ARENT hard working unless the boss is standing there. The minute the boss would leave they would sit around and watch everyone else work.... so the all mexicans are hard workers ploy isnt true
