well he doesnt have somthing like 800 billion in new programs like Obama,

plus the thing that eats me alive is obama's 11 billion for "family's who purchased a home that was simply to large for their income"

Yo man Im not here to back up obama and debate politics, but its the banks fault for giving out loans which they knew people wouldnt be able to pay back. They are the biggest crooks in this country. Give out a doomed loan and then sell it off to a 3rd party.

no! it is the people's fault for buying a home that cost to much for what they could afford...

people need to take responsibility for there own life, and not look to the government to fix the problems they created by buying a home that cost to much.

Ok, America is one of the stupidest countries when it comes to financial matters. The fact of the matter is people love shit in this country. They have to have it no matter what! And unfortunately out capitalism system on crack allows people to live light years beyond there means! People are dumb man, what do you expect them to do! Its the fucking banks fault completely. Why do you think the assholes sell off their mortgages immediately?

Thank you, that's why I hate most welfare programs.  My mom's family was on welfare for one year after her dad was killed, then my grandma took the initiative to finish school and become a registered nurse.  She had 5 kids and no money and she managed.

Well, suppose we got out Iraq, and then cut defense spending a large portion, and refocused the money that would free up, and then tried to actually have a foreign policy that would promote others liking us as opposed to pushing others around for the sake of our interests and companies.

Oh no, that couldn't work. God forbid we stop spending so much on defense instead of diplomacy to prevent the need of the defense.

I am seriously ashamed to live here sometimes.

He has been viewed as conservative on fiscal social matters. Well look how well that worked out, biggest national debt in history.

my best friends dad, died last year in may, and his family is getting the help they need, which is great!!!!

im talking about the perpetual welfare state. from what i have heard about obama, and his direct quote (which i used in my other post) obama wants to help people who simply bought to big a house.

want to know a interesting fact? the US and our big bad "free" economy donated more in the form of charity then any other country in the world..

given how messed up our medicare and social security systems are, i don't really see how much worse it would be if i kept a higher percentage of my wages and funded my own healthcare and retirement funds.  oh wait, all our younger generations will have to anyways.

dude, we have free health care here in Canada and guess what its not that great. sure its free but you have to wait 5-10 hours for for service unless its life threatening, if you are terminally ill good luck getting good service.

I would much rather get taxed less and be free to choose how I spent my money then to be told by the government who will treat me and how I will be served.

Blasmphemy!  The government knows how to spend money better than you.  In fact you will no longer earn wages, all your former earnings go straight to the coffers.  They will provide you with goods and services as necessary.  All your hopes and dreams are now worthless.

You forgot to mention that a free market economy is often a rat race for money and people are willing to stop supporting the people at home to outsource and exploit another countries workers for much lower wages

For the buisnesses that stay at home and support their people, they face no breaks, and much lower profits than the ones that pack up and move their factories to china.

Capitalism also puts Most of the money into the fewest people, with little help for the others.

You never said one thing about a free market economy, so I think that your charity bullshit is you squirming in your pants because you dont know how to respond intelligently.

i would rather live in a socialist state then in an economic depression such as the one America is headed for at the moment. Thats all i said. I dont know where you got that other stuff from

this I agree with you on.  but unfortunately its the bigger companies with more lawyers and lobbyists that moved their factories, thus no pressure from either side of the aisle to get something done.

even if its made in Mexico, thats better than china.  i'd rather have Mexico provided with more opportunities for workers, than china to get more money.  maybe if all those US companies moved their factories to Mexico, then perhaps less illegal traffic across the border?  an increase in jobs in Mexico surely would benefit both the US and Mexico.

With the current state of both of those systems, I'd have to agree with you. Both are headed to catastrophic failure within our generation.

However, I'm not for complete privatization. Face it, without governmental controls, companies will eventually screw the average American, because a companies main goal is profit. It cannot exist without it. In something like healthcare, you dont want decisions motivated by this logic. Besides that, while competition does make things relatively cheap, they'll never be as malleable and responsive to new policies as governmental controlled institutions.

Maybe our country isnt ready for universal healtcare, despite the success of it in many modern nations around the world. But one thing is true - the system is on the verge of collapse. Something needs to be done and needs to be done soon. Again, my advice - get a job right now that gives you health coverage or buy a policy ASAP.
