unless ur doing seth style gainers off 50+ footers (NOT claiming feet, but actual feet), take that shit off. knees to faces off of anything below 50 doesn't hurt, fuck wear a mouth guard if ur really that concerned.
full faces are simply for people who wanna look legit, but can't show it through their actual skiing.
hahaha, yeah, climb up onto your roof (anywhere between 20-25 feet) , jump off, smash your knees into your face, get back on ns and tell me if it hurt.
^ya, no body has any right to tell any one what to wear... however, i dont think the creator fo this thread had that goal in mind, i think he just had an opinion, and wondered if we agreed or not. lets not convict either this thread's creator, or full face helmet wearers
like i give a fuck that you dont rag on people???? i rag on people in my head, and i rag on people that fit into the dicussion im having...... like im supposed to give a fuck about your opinion? just like you shouldnt give a fuck about my opinion..... is it that hard for you to see?
not to continue the thread, but it seems like you actually care a lot, otherwise you might not have responded so often and stating so often that you don't :)
Your a fucking dumb ass why the fuck do you care if someone is trying to protect their jawbone and teeth and cheekbone, which you can hurt dropping like a 10 footer, not a 50 footer.
i just have NOTHING to do. i left my apt. for like an hour and a half earlier thats why there was no postings...... buuuut now im back and tv sucks and its 7:30 pm and i wish i was skiing so of course im going to keep fighting the good fight.
im not going to realise that most of you hate my opinion and be like "ohhh im having a bad day and the kid kinda just got under my skin blah blah blah" i am having a bad day but whatever, even on a good day i would still think it looked stupid.
how can you tell that i actually care? my frequency of posting shows that im one bored motha fucka....
Have you ever hit a tree?
droped 20+ feet to rock?
fell in a rock lined shoot.
they all fucking hurt and a full face makes a lot of sense.
but they are expensive.
yea i got kneed in the face just by going to fast and forgot about this big divet ditch. bit like through my tongue and was spittin the red stuff everywhere. then it hurt to open my mouth alot for like a week because my jaw was fucked up.
NS, where full faces if you fucking want, not because the king says not to.
its like saying, "everyone take off your fucking skate style helmets. your not skateboarding ur skiing? unless your TONY HAWK and ur trying the slopes for a day"
To thread creator and the other guy that "doesn't care" yet is still hating on people wearing full face helmets, your both little bitches. Seriously. Your hating people for being safe. Shut the fuck up already.
well my little brother didn't have a ski helmet last year, so he borrowed my other little brother's full face bike helmet and used that all season. he didn't pay anything for it, and it kept his head and face safe and warm.
whose hating on anyone? if 40 kids wore mx helmets in the line with me tomorrow NOT one of them would no i think they look stupid.... so no one is really hating..... just stating opinions on the matter......
so why dont YOU shut the fuck up already. oh and calling me a little bit really affects my day bro... please stop....please!
exatly. i bet this thread creator cant even ski lines saying how he has no idea what he is talking about when he says knees to the face on cliffs under 50 dosent hurt! that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard! i have done it all more than one cliff 50 and under, and most of them hurt like hell, i have gotten a number of black eyes, one broken google lens, and a lot of little dings that all hurt. i do not ski with a full face mask. but this thread creator is a whinney, pussy, poser, bitch. suck it up man, it dosent make a difference to you.
you are a moron. no one is going to care what you think of how they look.
i wear a full face..its also the same helmet i wear when im riding my dirtbike, because i broke my face earlier this season...i was doing a 7 (not to claim) and caught my front tip coming around on the second rotation and my body whiplashed into the ground, while my face smashed into my pole. it completely knocked me out for a good half minute or so and woke up on the landing with half my face looking like it was sliding off. the result: broken cheekbone, broken orbital bone below the eye, cracked orbital on the side of my eye, cracks in my jaw and a collapsed sinus, damaged facial nerve, hemoraging in my eye and now i wear glasses....required major surgery and lots of recovery time...
so thats my reasoning for wearing a full face..people can wear whatever they want and they shouldnt have to be judged for it.
i never wanted anyone to care what i think, tha king started a thread, i posted my opinion. and alaska kid you fucking douche if you read what i said earlier in the thread i mentioned that i was joking and that i would never think that about what someone was wearing (slapping them that is)
I don't really care but i could actually see it being more dangerous in the park to be wearing a full face and harder on your neck. But its definitely a good idea in the back country if your skiing, as someone said, "harry ass lines"
If somebody wants to wear a full face thats their business, not ours. Yeah I'll admit seeing a kid wearing one on a groomer at our 200 foot hill makes me chuckle, but its not my business.
Now a thread about that kid wearing a full face helmet with lift ticket stuck directly on the thing and some of those racing tight things at a tiny hill in the midwest could have been amusing if it were only in the interest of a good laugh and not taken dead serious.
in response to this thread I would be tempted to make a thread called "To the "badasses" wtih bandanas"
You guys ever stopped to think that some of the other people on the mountain might look at a person wearing tall tees and bandana and think that it was bit weird, maybe even a pretty stupid "gangster wannabe" look?
you know what else is gay? parachutes. parachutes are for pussies. jaime pierre hit terminal velocity and didn't die--and he wasn't even wearing a helmet.
seriously though... if you guys don't care whether or not snowbird4life thinks you're a badass, wear all the full face helmets and crash pads and bubble wrap you want.Â
Wow, people really feel the need to hate with this thread. It seems to me that when you walk out your door, no matter what you are wearing, you are going to be judged multiple times throughout the day, that is just a fact of life, so deal. I fully get the wrath from my buddies when I sport the full face. It does not matter to me because there are styles that I make fun of too, and full faces do look dorky but, as I stated in a previous post on this, I have a substantial financial investment in my teeth so whatever. Let me state it more clearly full faces, in my opinion, look really stupid even on people that "shred the gnar". I also think that bandanas and oversize tees look really stupid, so what who cares? I guess I care, but not that much. If you really think that someone cares because they took 5 minutes out of their boring day at work to write a post than you are mistaken. When I actually care about something I take action in real life. I, for instance, care about equal access for snowmobiles and cat skiing on the backside of my mountain, so I go to the meetings and sign the pettitions and educate fellow riders on being responsible in the backcountry. I don't write about this issue on a website full of people from everywhere in the world and expect things to change in my home town. Just my 31/2 pennies though. I write on here for fun as I am sure most of you do. It just seems a little intense when people start making threats and swearing, but i guess that is fun for some of you, Ill admitt, its fun for me to read these little tiffs some times, so have at it.
